Transformation of Systems

Christiane Dorothea Varga
Futorologist

Details

Much like our world order and society at large, the film industry is constantly transforming. However, currently this seems to be more the case than ever. In her opening keynote, Vienna based futurologist Christiane Varga will dissect the mechanisms of transformation and highlight how systems can navigate this process. Transformation does not necessarily need to end in turmoil, disruption and crises. Ideally it leads to a reconfiguration and rearrangement of the individual particles that form a system. Given the particular context of the conference, Varga will also explore the transformation of the systems known as ‘public broadcasting’ and ‘public film funding’ and will describe how each of us can contribute to the transformation of these systems.
